This alpha version requires alumni verification using one of the listed .edu email domains. Please also Contact Us to suggest any additional email domains for an existing private label or other feedback or suggestions.

Unless you use your .edu email regularly, we recommend signing up with your regular email (e.g., gmail, yahoo, etc.) and then verifying your .edu email in step 2 of the signup process.

MeetingWave has another verification option allowing for easy click through access using a link added to your school's website. Check your school's alumni website for MeetingWave's link and click through to sign up without a .edu email address. If you don't see our link, contact them to suggest adding MeetingWave's verification link. Tell them you'd like to network with fellow alumni.

Please Contact Us if you'd like to suggest a college or university for alpha testing (if possible, please provide a link to the school's website, a suitable logo and the email domain used by the school's alumni).

Other improvements in MeetingWave's pipeline include an upgrade to our email system, location-based mobile versions for the iPhone, Android & Blackberry platforms and other improvements.

CREATE A MEETING!

Create an invite for a proposed meeting that describes who you'd like to meet or the purpose of the meeting, whether it's coffee, lunch, drinks, golf or some other meeting activity.

You'll be notified by email when someone accepts your invite.

You can approve or decline anyone's acceptance for any reason - it's entirely up to you. The other people will be notified of your decision. Approve at least one acceptance, and your meeting is on!

You do not need to disclose your identity or contact information, but we do recommend creating a Profile with some background information (including verified email domains) to help other members decide whether to meet with you.

Double-blind messaging is provided to confirm and facilitate meetings without disclosing identities or contact information.

You can choose to have the meeting location disclosed only to people you approve to attend.

FIND A MEETING NEAR YOU!

Search for meetings posted by other members based on location or keywords or verified email domains (e.g., @ibm.com or @alumni.mit.edu).

Accept any of interest and MeetingWave will let you know by email whether or not the meeting organizer approved your acceptance. Create a Profile with some background information (including verified emails) BEFORE accepting invites to help the other member decide whether to meet.

If confirmed, go to your meeting and start networking with the people you want to meet.
